Week 5 in the MTC!

Wow!! This week flew by!

Teaching lessons for this week went so good!! With Aurora we taught her: Word of wisdom and The Ten Commandments and when teaching the 10 I used the Hand symbols that I learned in Seminary from Bro. Sell! So someone tell him thanks for me! One more with her :)
With Gabriel we taught: The Gospel of Jesus Christ, about Service, and some Commandments! And now we are done teaching with him.
Out of teaching all the people I have been teaching by far my favorite to teach is The Gospel of Jesus Christ! It is so fun!

Gym time: I am getting good at soccer!! I was in the play of the year for the MTC! It started when the other team took a shot and Clark at Goalie he stopped it so I took off down the left side of the contra and he threw it all the way to me and I jumped up high and saw McKinnon running down the middle and headed it right to him and then he headed it right past the goalie and right in the top corner!!¡¡ It is now known as the Double Header! And it was so awesome!
Sunday! I love sundays here! There was 3 videos that night! The first one was The John Tanner story. Wow! That dude is awesome! Then a little one on Temples and then one on the Life of Christ that was really good :)

Food: I had my last Costco Pizza night... So I ate 5... ;)

AND OH!! The big news!! I got my Flight plans for next week!!! I leave Monday the 22nd at 8:32 PM ;) (for reals) ;) to head to CHILE!!! I arrive at 11:00 AM on the 23rd in Concepción! So excited!!!

Tuesday: The devo was by a man named Helaman Montejo! And he has a Daughter that reminded me so much of Aubree I went and shook her hand! :) And Me and Clark joined the choir! And we sang "Calma mi alma" which is "Be still my soul" Oh Man! It was so good!! Sang my heart out!

I met a guy from Kokeville, Wyoming! and his sister was in that class that was in the movie!

Overall a great week!

Week 4!

HEY EVERYONE!!
Another great week here!!

Lessons: With Aurora it is so great, getting baptized. With Gabriel it's slower but he is getting baptized too! It's great! I picked up another one too named Curtus. But now I am teaching without any notes or anything it is so great! Spanish is just flowing so great! And I taught an actual member of the church in Mexico City! And she can't speak English so yeah! It was great!

GYM times: Getting real good at soccer! Played all kinds of games too!!

Devotionals: Sunday: David Bednar! Wow that is the best talk I've ever heard! He talked about the character of Christ! And put away the natural man in you! He even said "Do Good" ;) and did an impression of the cookie monster! haha main quote from it was "who you are and what you are, is way more important than what you say"

Tuesday: Was a live one from Provo! Niel Anderson spoke and it was good! He showed a picture from the Olympics and was like sorry everyone else in the world is enjoying this right now.... haha

Sunday movie was Meet the Mormons! So great!

The other night I was woken up by my companion throwing up everywhere! So that night was fun! Cleaning all night! haha

My teacher has been talking about the Olympics kinda... haha

Week #3!!

This week flew by!!!

Spanish is now coming so easy! I just think of what I want to say and then translate it right there in my head and them say it! It's so great! Teaching has become way easier because of that! Instead of using a dictionary or something. :) We are now teaching Aurora and Gabriel!

Gym times Played tons of more soccer, a little basketball and some tennis! I'll have to say I'm getting pretty good with my feet! It gets pretty rough in the cage! I'm just glad I'm strong and quick to get out of some situations... but one day I played for a straight hour because my team never lost!!

Oh man! The food here keeps getting better!! One day we had CONES!! And that reminded me of hangin with the amigos back home! Then last night I would say was pretty good when saying that the worst thing on my tray was Costco Pizza! I also had cream filled doughnuts, raspberry cheesecake, pineapple and some cake! And with a sprite!

I figured everyone else out in my district! MY comp: is so much like Corbino Howell! Bluth: is a combo of Nathan Wheiler and Austin Kimes. Schoonmaker: is like Ethan and Mason Hope put together!

Oh yeah! Well this week in sacrament meeting was pretty crazy.... I thought that we were done but then they were like well we are going to have one more speaker... "Elder Hope" and I spoke completely in Spanish! It went really well!! SO me and Logan Talked on the same day!!!!! :)

Then the 2 devos from this week were from Richard G Scott play back and then a random area 70 that came. I was the only one awake from my district! haha

The sunday movie was The Restoration :) I couldn't move the whole time the spirit was so strong!! I love that movie!!

I met Elder Hollands Grandson! That was cool!

And I am going to the temple today! So more pics are coming later!!

Played a bunch of games too.

¡Hola!

Another Great week here at the Mexico MTC/CCM!!
Just a bunch more classes! I go for about 16 hours straight!
In my last practice lesson with Alfredo I remembered something from mission prep that one of the ways to bring in the spirit was by song :) and while I was teaching about the plan of salvation I stopped and in spanish said "my companion would now like to sing a song for you." and he doesn't know spanish very well so he looked at me like, "what did you just say!!?¡¿" and I pointed at 'I am a child of God' song and he actually sang! It was so great!!

New rules came up this week that we can't wear any other sock accept if it is plain black or brown and has to match exactly! So I can only wear my black ones... i love my socks!

OH! One day as I was walking back to the house I found something in my pocket! It was Drakes CTR ring! from his baptism! So now I wear it everyday!

GYM times this week I've played Basketball / HORSE, soccer, volleyball, tennis, and ping pong! And I workout a bunch!! Oh man! I love gym time! But one day I played basketball and wearing my tennis shoes was a bad idea! In all the sports and all the running and all the beating my feet have taken I have never once had a blister. But that day I did.. but it was okay because I prayed so they would go away! And the next morning it didn't even look like I had one there!! Heavenly Father answers your prayers quick if you are a missionary!!

Then on Sunday Elder Clark was one of the ones chosen to speak and he read the wrong scripture that he had wrote down but the one he did read, well... in spanish it talked about circumcision in D&C... haha you should have seen the branch presidents face when he said that!! He turned instant red haha!! The topic was Christ like attributes too!

We also watched a devotional from awhile ago by elder Holland! It was about divine companionship and how we should always have the holy ghost with us!

Then we watched another movie it was called 'How rare a Possession' talking about the book of mormon and a guy who found one in Italy!

Then I taught my distict about "Package A" and "Do Good"TM :)

I've been singing a lot of Disney songs for some reason!

It still hasnt gone a single day without raining! one day was so bad we had to stay inside! But the lightning was super cool!

I woke up one morning to 2 guys mowing the lawn out side with one lawn mower, one guy was on it steering it and the other guy was pushing this big riding lawnmower!! haha!!

Then last night we had a devotional from Elder Netzahualcoyotl Salinas! Try saying that! He was very powerful! Even through the translation! He talked about my favorite subject... working hard! :)

Not as eventful as last week but still tons of fun!! :)

Love you all!!

First Week at the MTC/CCM!

Wow!! is all I can say about this first week!! It was amazing!!
I wont do this big of one everyweek but I feel this one is necessary!
Alright!!!
July 12th Tuesday... As my plane took off the ground along the freeway I could see my families car driving back home... thats when it really hit me that I wasn't going to see them for 2 years. Then I landed in Salt Lake and Bro. Finney found me and took me to breakfast!! That was super nice! Talked a lot about the gospel!! Then on the flight to MEX there was a record breaking 89!! missionaries on one flight!! On the flight we all played all sorts of games with the TV in front of us like tic tac toe and chess and all kinds of things on that 3 hour 16 minute and 10 second flight. ;) I sat by Elder Dawson, he is the football player that is going to Wyoming as a running back that is going to my same mission!! (cousin Brayden knows him) Once I got to the airport we waited for a bus for about 2 hours then it came! It was a super nice travel bus! We were on that for about an hour and a half through Mexico city!! Then we got to the Mexico MTC or EL CCM (say say mey) ;) Then I went to dinner! And as my first ever meal in a Foreign country is!!!... Pizza :) And met my companion Elder Evans! He is from s. Jordan Utah/Pocatello!! and runs track!!
Wednesday... The weather is so amazazazingly awesome here!! It's a perfect 72 degrees! And perfect for learning!! This day I got a tour of the whole place! It used to be a high school 3 years ago!! And Its super nice!! Think like Rocky mountain on steroids times 10!! ;)
Thursday... Well I taught my first investigator today!! Completely in Spanish!!! It went pretty well for me! I understood a lot!! Then we had a bunch of classes on the gospel and Spanish! Even one on the computer! I wear a headset and everything! I talk so much to everyone its great! I've never done that before in my life!! At night you hear some crazy stuff too!
Friday... My room and apartment is awesome!! So nice! Even though at night it still looks like day as the light outside comes through the window. More classes, and well our teachers don't know English much good so it is hard to understand sometimes but she tries very very hard and is so nice!! :) We get a GYM time everyday! Today was fun I played basketball for the whole hour. At first the utah people didnt even give me a chance... but then I made 16!!!! 3 pointers in a row!! It was so awesome!! I caught en Fuego ;) then back in class we started flipping water bottles and we are good at it! OH! and my district is super cool! I talked to Elder Daniels for a long time about sports he is playing college baseball, and his voice sounds exactly like Tanner Smoots, but he looks like Parker!! then Elder McKinnon looks exactly like Trevor and played football, and Elder Clark plays basketball like Matt and has his jokes too!! So I'm just right at home! haha and taught 2nd lesson to Alfredo.
Sat... It rains here every night! But the lightning looks way cool with the smog! Taught Alfredo the 1st vison today! Played soccer at gym time scored 2 goals! More classes.
Sunday... Everyday feels like Sunday but these ones are cool :) Sacrament meeting is all in spanish! Everyone writes a talk!! Then at dinner I ran into Elder Davenport from the Nampa Basketball team (yes dad I know that wasnt very nice) Then we watched a movie called the testiments! and all I could think about were the people that i will be teaching are the lamenities!! and I am a nephite!!
Monday... Gym time found the weight room and did that!! Found a kid that went to cenntenial, taught Alfredo about the book of mormon. More classes and switched class rooms from john taylor 210 to brigham young 109... Then Elder Daniels called me and Clark into his room and told us that he has to go home because he just wasn't ready.. which was sad... he was a good friend... and I'm glad that I went with missionaries and mission prep!! He is a good kid and is coming back!
Tues... Taught Alfredo today!! And comited him to baptism!! He is geeting baptised AUG 10th!! I popped a soccer ball cause i kicked it too hard!! haha lots of laughs!! and joke from district 5E!!
Then had a devotional from an area 70!
Today... Went to the Mexico City Temple!! it is so awesome!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It is so huge!! and wrote to all of you!
